How did I waste all my time? Those years I must have been pretty blind You wanted me to stay ordinary all so you could feel fine It never crossed my brain Until Paul lit me up and said it a different way You never hated me you hated yourself It's so sad to finally say I know I'll forget you (Yea I'll forget you) It's so strange you thought I'd miss you (That's right) You said you didn't like what I did couldn't respect the things that I love I let myself do anything for you in the end it was more than I should How did I waste all my time? Those years I must have been pretty blind You wanted me to stay mediocre all so you could feel fine I know I'll forget you (Yea I'll forget you) It's so strange you thought I'd miss you (That's right) Things are so much better with you...

Portland 02:58
I saw you waiting by the door I always wondered what you're waiting for You were depressed I guess a mess Searching for another shore I saw you packing all your bags Didn't know that I was such a drag You hit the road alone no home Headed towards the west coast Well I'm sorry sweetie we just didn't work out You didn't quite get it so I'll scream and shout I don't want to go to Portland I had to hear it from your friends How you thought I was a dead end You know we could have talked or wrote or spoke Said what needed to be said Why did you break my bong? Well now that's really fucking wrong We went from being rad to being sad I'm glad I've gotten over being mad Well I'm sorry sweetie we just didn't work out You didn't quite get it so I'll scream and shout I don't want to go to Portland You're leaving got your reasons Go if you want to go I saw you waiting by the door I always wondered what you're waiting for I saw you packing all your bags Didn't know that I was such a drag I don't want to go to Portland

Monster 03:16
Close your eyes Take yourself back to that time We were just kids trying to fit in Didn't know anything about it I'd wake up with his hands around my neck So know I've got your back So turn the lights on I hear the monster he's coming down my hall Mom, can't we bury it? He finds that treasure you know I'll be fighting him It's not right But let yourself move on with your life We were just kids trying to fit in Didn't know anything about it I'd wake up with his hands around my neck So know I've got your back So turn the lights on I hear the monster he's coming down my hall Mom, can't we bury it? He finds that treasure you know I'll be fighting him Is he coming today? Is he coming tonight? Will I wake up again? Will I put up a fight? So turn the lights on I hear the monster he's coming down my hall Mom, can't we bury it? He finds that treasure you know I'll be fighting him

Dwell On It 02:58
I can't tell what you're thinking I can't climb inside your skull So please tell me what's going on Please tell me what you want I'm not sure why I did that No, I can't explain myself So can we live it off just play it down Let ourselves move on You're about to lose your head Life's too short Life's too quick to dwell on it Just let it go But your brain works crazy Or maybe it's just me It's not the first time not the worst time We're repeating history My bad I didn't mean it I'll just blame it on my friends The boys we drank too much we smoked a ton Fuck we had some fun We're about to lose our heads Life's too short Life's too quick to dwell on it Just let it go Let's plant us like roses this year We've got some thorns but our potential is clear You'll grow red and glisten I'll be that thorn hang on and listen Do anything to keep you near Life's too short Life's too quick to dwell on it Just let it go

Stay 03:05
You're gone I wish that I knew why I said those things to you I'm wrong Can't justify those words though I've said them all before You said you're coming by to grab a few things I've never been so scared to tell you how I feel Stay We'll shine another day We'll be ok I swear I'll make a change I'll be honest I know that it's not the best for me But if I were you I'd say "fuck off" and leave That wouldn't surprise me But don't fight it You're everything I want I won't hide it You're all the things I'm not You said I could try but you just might walk away It's so simple all I want is you to Stay We'll shine another day We'll be ok I swear I'll make a change You're gone I wish that I knew why I said those things to you I'm wrong Can't justify those words though I've said them all before Stay We'll shine another day We'll be ok I swear I'll make a change If I were you I'd say goodbye...
